  13. Hi,
  14.   I had the same problem with my Power 28.8.  I was not convinced that it was
  15. a modem problem (I was getting 24000 connections consistently) so I asked a friend
  16. to try it out at his house.  He has connected at 28.8 every time.  My conclusion
  17. is that my phone lines are dirty.

  19. PS.  Of course, I checked my hardware inside out and used Motorola's recommended
  20. init string before resorting to trying different phone lines.
